Frankie Wayne Moore
Frankie Wayne Moore, 68, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Grayson Manor in Leitchfield.
He was born and raised in Bullitt County to Frank and Margaret Moore on July 30, 1954.
Wayne entered the U.S. Army in May 1972, where he served in the 101st, 509th and 82nd Airborne. He was honorably discharged June 1976.
He married his wife, Jennifer Catlett on Jan. 3, 1976, at Rockford Lane Baptist Church in Louisville.
He graduated from Murray State University on Aug. 3, 1979, with a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science.
He was a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for more than 25 years and taught Sunday school for more than 20 years.
Wayne and his wife, Jennifer, founded Cumberland Products Inc. in December 1991.
Wayne was greatly respected for his honesty, good nature, humor authenticity by the people of the automotive aftermarket.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Francis C. and Margaret Robison Moore; his grandparents, Pete and Mary Robinson; and his mother-in-law, Priscilla Catlett.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jennifer Catlett Moore; two children, John (Jessica) Moore of Cecilia and Katie (Brian) Jones of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Ronald (Tammy) Moore and Steven (Dana) Moore; two sisters, Patricia (Doug) Taylor and Kim (Rick) Diersen; seven grandchildren, Wyatt, Trent, Hayden and Lydia Moore and Vance, Elise and Asher Jones; five nieces; four nephews; his father-in-law, John (Bernice) Catlett; his brother-in-law, Michael (Susan) Catlett; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Scott) Toler.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, June 12, at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Catlett officiating. Burial follows in Vine Hill Cemetery in Clermont.
Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association or Severns Valley Baptist Church.
